Results – Vans Park Series Asia Regionals Championships 2019

Asia’s top park terrain skaters gathered on East Coast Park Xtreme Skatepark, Singamore, and wowed the crowds with their creative runs. Sota Tsiji and Nyimas Bunga Cinta have secured entries to 2019 VPS World Championships in Salt Lake City

The Vans Park Series Asia Regionals Championships are now complete with Sota Tsuji (Japan) and Nyjmas Bunga Cinta (Indonesia) coming in 1st place in the men’s and women’s categories. Sota and Nyjmas will join the 2019 Global Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah, on 7th September, where the highest-ranking competitors and Select Pros will meet to attempt the next 2 champions in park terrain skateboarding.

Men’s

This was 14-year-old Sota’s return to Singapore after coming 5th in the 2018 championships, ending his run with a massive stalefish over the grand stand and the crowd. Japan’s Yuro Nagahara secured 2nd place and Kikuchi Taisei came up to the podium in 3rd.

Women’s

15-year-old Nyimas, who came in 3rd place last year, came in 1st by leading all rounds in the final with consistent runs, all with smooth tricks. Korea’s Hyunju Cho and Nayeon Hong came in 2nd and 3rd place.

This year marks the 3rd consistent year that Vans Park Series has been held in Singapore.
